Galehead Development is pleased to announce its inclusion in the first portfolio investment by the Macquarie Green Energy and Climate Opportunities Fund. The Fund’s investment is an extension of the 2022 capital partnership formed between Galehead and Macquarie Asset Management and has no impact on Galehead’s corporate structure or day-to-day operations. Collaboration with and investment by Macquarie further strengthens Galehead’s financial capacity to power the Energy Transition.
McKinsey estimates the Energy Transition will require $9.2 trillion in annual investment through 2050.[1] “Development at the pace and scale required for a successful Energy Transition is incredibly capital intensive, and we are proud to have the backing and support of Macquarie’s Green Energy and Climate Opportunities Fund for the upstream investments Galehead is making in the energy infrastructure of the future,” said CEO Matt Marino.
For more than 100years, “upstream” has been synonymous with the fossil fuel industry. Through innovative projects and strategic partnerships, Galehead is harnessing solar, wind, battery energy storage and new Energy Transition technologies to Redefine Upstream and develop tomorrow’s conventional power.
